`app.buildonto.dev/serve/dashboard`

#### Setup

A four-step checklist that ticks itself as your site comes online.

*   Verify the domain
* Install the SDK and add the site key
* Add the build step and deploy
*   The first agent visit

[Open it →](https://app.buildonto.dev/serve/dashboard)

### Your first visit

\[03\]

Everyone starts at `/welcome`: you say what you're here to do — read pages, plug Onto into your editor, or serve your own site — and three steps get you there.

StepWhat happens

01 · Your keyAn API key is made for you, or you use the one you have

02 · The goal's stepYour first call, your editor install, or wiring up your site — depending on what you picked

03 · The resultThe call's answer, a check the key works, or your site's score

### Two products, one account

\[04\]

Read and Serve have separate plans — you can be on Read Starter and Serve Free at once — and both are managed on one Billing page. Read also takes credit top-ups for when a month runs out.

**Two kinds of key.** API keys (`onto_sk_`) live under Read → API keys and are for the API and MCP. Each site's key (`onto_live_`) lives under Serve → Settings and is for the SDK.
